Laurel House

Laurel House provides safety, counseling, and supportive services for individuals and families facing domestic violence in our community. Their work includes a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, children’s programs, medical and legal advocacy, crisis response, and educational outreach that helps prevent future abuse. Their mission reflects resilience, empowerment, and the strength it takes to begin again.

Sexual Assault Resource & Counseling Center (SARCC)

The Sexual Assault Resource & Counseling Center (SARCC) provides 24-hour, no-cost support to survivors of sexual abuse, including counseling, medical and legal assistance, advocacy, bilingual services, support groups, and prevention education for the broader community. Their work helps ensure survivors are heard, supported, and empowered on their path to healing.

We are proud to support Monte Carlo 2026 – A Red Carpet Affair, SARCC’s signature event that raises essential funds for survivor services and community prevention efforts. The evening features a red-carpet experience, community awards, casino games, raffles, and a silent auction, all in support of SARCC’s mission.

The Lower Perk Longhorns embody teamwork, dedication, and support, providing young athletes with opportunities to grow, gain confidence, and develop their skills both on and off the field.

The West Chester University Foundation – WCU Promise Program

The West Chester University Foundation – WCU Promise Program provides comprehensive support to West Chester University students experiencing housing insecurity, food insecurity, or other significant challenges. Through year-round on-campus housing, access to the Resource Pantry, priority employment opportunities, scholarship support, and monthly programming, the WCU Promise Program helps students build stability and stay focused on their academic and personal goals.

The program also fosters community and connection by offering mentorship, peer engagement, and opportunities to learn from guest speakers who help students envision and pursue their future paths. Its holistic approach ensures that every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA) Toy Drive

Each year, the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA) Young Lawyers Division works to make the holidays brighter for children in need through its annual Children’s Gift Drive and Holiday Party. This initiative provides holiday gifts to hundreds of children living in area shelters and participating in local programs, offering a meaningful sense of celebration during the season.

The event has become a valued tradition within the ACBA community, bringing together individuals and partners who recognize the importance of ensuring every child feels supported during the holidays. Supporting Families Through the 2025 Turkey Drive and Community Giveaway

On November 19th, 2025, our community came together to support families across Norristown, PA. With the partnership of Keystone Harvest, Hakim K. Jones, Samaritan Place of Restoration, Sweet Briar Café, and Norristown Men of Excellence, this year’s Turkey Drive provided essential resources and seasonal support to local households. A total of 250 turkeys were distributed, helping ensure families had what they needed for the holiday season. We are grateful to everyone who attended this year’s Turkey Drive and Community Giveaway.

The engagement from families, volunteers, and partners reflected the strength of our shared commitment to supporting the community. Events like this demonstrate what is possible when community organizations, local leaders, and residents work together with purpose.

Ostroff Godshall’s Project Backpack 2025

On Thursday, August 7, 2025, we proudly hosted our very first large-scale Project Backpack Drive at the Musselman Learning Center in Norristown. In partnership with the Norristown Area School District, we distributed nearly 1,000 backpacks filled with essential school supplies, helping local students start the school year ready for success. The remaining backpacks were donated to ensure even more children in our community are supported.

The event became a true community celebration, featuring Zac’s Burgers, Sweet Briar Café, bus safety activities with First Student, family games and prizes, and music from DJOBOYYY (Stephon Baker), who kept the crowd smiling and dancing all afternoon.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible volunteers who gave their time and energy to make the day seamless and unforgettable. Their dedication turned this initiative into something truly special.

This family-friendly Blue Bell event offers options for a 1 mile run/walk, 5K run or a fun run for the youngest racers. John Shapiro’s Superheroes 5K is a tribute to the memory of a courageous little boy who lost his battle to brain cancer in August, 2011 at the age of six. John bravely battled his cancer, enduring four difficult years of surgeries and treatments with a strong resolve and a positive attitude. John touched and inspired so many lives with his engaging and heartwarming approach to life, leaving lasting memories with all those he encountered. John truly was a Superhero.

All proceeds from the event will go to the John Shapiro Superheroes Foundation and will benefit local families with children battling cancer. Miles for Marc was formally established in 2015 by the late Marc Kuchler and his wife at the time, Rachael. The initial goal was to increase awareness and funding for genetic research in order to identify targeted drug therapies and ensure molecular testing for all lung cancer patients.

Funds raised by Miles for Marc have gone to support research for targeted drug therapies; in particular therapies which would treat EGFR Exon 20 – the mutation Marc Kuchler possessed. This year Ostroff Godshall is a team jersey sponsor of a Whitpain Recreation Association youth soccer team. Jersey sponsorships are important to the association as they help to subsidize the cost of uniforms. Mattie Dixon “Fill-A-Backpack” Drive

It’s time for our school supply drive! Here is the wish list for supplies – cupboard clients will be able to choose what their children need and fill a backpack at the Ambler location. All donations will be dropped off by the firm on August 16^th – please feel free to bring items to the Blue Bell office and we will drop them off for you.

Kits for a Good Cause

Ostroff Godshall Injury and Accident Lawyers is participating in the Association of Legal Administrators Independence Chapter’s “Kits for a Cause” donation drive. On Wednesday, March 15th, chapter members will gather to assemble Kits for a Good Cause for Ronald McDonald House Charities – Philadelphia Region. The goal is to assemble at least 25 Fun Kits and 25 Spa Kits for the caregivers. If you would like to support the cause, please consider purchasing items through the Amazon wish list linked here.

Love to Langa

Our team is honored to announce our Love to Langa fundraiser! The objective of this fundraiser is to raise money for this charity’s next major project: the Idayimani Montessori Academy. The construction of this school will not only provide these children with a wonderful education, but additional programs to help support the surrounding community.

We are proud to have hosted a local food drive for Thanksgiving in support of Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard’s Thanksgiving Drive. 2022 Backpack Drive

We are excited to have hosted our 2022 Backpack Drive for the Norristown Area School District! The goal was to raise money to purchase backpacks and supplies for students in elementary through high school. Ukrainian Refugee Aid

Russia’s attacks on Ukraine have forced over 3 million Ukrainians to leave their homeland. Jon Ostroff, the founder of Ostroff Godshall Injury and Accident Lawyers, is providing and facilitating humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian refugees. In early March, soon after the war began, Jon spent almost two weeks in Eastern Europe. He is now back in the U.S. but continues to offer humanitarian assistance to anyone with friends or family that have left Ukraine or are able to leave but are not sure where they can go.

If you know a refugee that is looking for a safe destination and they are leaving Ukraine through a Polish border crossing, Jon can provide them with options for free transportation and shelter outside of Eastern Europe. 2025 Done With Distracted Driving Scholarship

We are excited to once again offer our Done with Distracted Driving Scholarship. Our attorneys are passionate about protecting people from distracted driving and want to hear about solutions from students on how to decrease this problem. We will accept applications for this year’s Done with Distracted Driving Scholarship through May 31, 2025!

Laurel House Donation Drive

Ostroff Godshall Injury and Accident Lawyers hosted a company donation drive throughout the month of September to support our local women’s shelter, Laurel House. The shelter is a comprehensive domestic violence agency that offers a 24-hour hotline, a textline, transitional housing, a children’s program, individual and group counseling, medical advocacy, legal representation and advocacy, crisis response, law enforcement collaboration, as well as community education and prevention efforts. Our employees donated items and made cash donations throughout the month, which were delivered to the shelter. Nurturing the Youth Holiday Drive

We were thrilled to host our Nurturing the Youth Holiday Drive. We are so inspired by the work Valley Youth House is doing in our community. That is why we wanted to do something to give back to them and the individuals they serve through a holiday gift drive. We collected gift donations at our Blue Bell office, but we also set up an online donation option for those unable to stop by.
