Founding Partner

Starting as a sole practitioner in 1993, Jon expanded Ostroff Law into an 11 lawyer, 40 employee law firm, before selling the firm to his partner, Rich Godshall in January, 2023. Over Jon’s 30+ year professional career at Ostroff Injury Law, he served as:

Lead trial counsel in dozens of catastrophic case trials from filing to final verdict or judgment.
Oversaw, handled, litigated and negotiated thousands of case settlements on behalf of clients.
Judge Pro Tem mediator, Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. (2014-2022)

Family & Community Commitment

Co-Founder/Board Member of Love to Langa (2008-present): Jon and his wife Amy co-founded this 501(C)(3) NPO focusing on supporting and advancing early childhood education in the impoverished Langa and Phillippi townships near Cape Town, South Africa. (LoveToLanga.org)

Amy has committed herself full time to serve as President and Board Chair of Love to Langa since it was founded in 2008. Jon remains a Board Member. Some of Love to Langa’s accomplishments are:

Construction of a Montessori School, opening In August, 2023. This is the first ever Montessori School in this region. At least 200 children at a time will be able to obtain an education in this beautiful new school, constructed and operated by Love to Langa (“L2L”). The property will also include a full-size soccer field and swimming academy, also constructed by Love to Langa.
Construction of a swimming academy in highly impoverished Philippi township near Cape Town. Children are taught water survival skills and to learn to swim at this successful project funded and constructed by L2L in 2017. Drowning is the second largest cause of death for children in South Africa.
Construction of a large annex onto a school in the Philippi township, completed in 2016. L2L built this early learning center in Philippi township in order to place 3 to 6-year-old children on an early education track, dramatically increasing their chance of staying in school and off of the crime and drug infested streets in Philippi.
Building an annex and garden at an orphanage in Langa township.
Funding outreach programs for teenagers in Langa township.
Funding scholarship and enrichment programs for thousands of children over the past 14 years, while assisting with tuition payments and all ways of supporting their education.
Funding teacher training programs.
Providing safe transportation for children to get to school each day.

Founder of Divorce Done Right (2007-2010): A family mediation organization based in Philadelphia, PA. Thousands of divorce cases successfully mediated throughout the Delaware Valley. “DDR” won the Forbes Magazine New Business Innovation and Leadership Award, received at the Lincoln Center in New York City in 2008.
