Ben Smith is a trial attorney at Ostroff Godshall, where he represents individuals in serious personal injury matters. His practice includes motor vehicle and trucking accidents, medical malpractice, product liability, and premises liability cases. Ben approaches each case with a focus on preparation, accessibility, and clear communication from the very beginning.
At OG, Ben works closely with clients who are often navigating the legal system for the first time. He prioritizes responsiveness and transparency, making himself available to answer questions and guide clients through each stage of the process. Ben understands that strong advocacy requires not only courtroom skill, but also trust, consistency, and empathy.
Before joining the firm, Ben built a broad litigation background handling complex matters from inception through resolution, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. His experience includes representing clients in high-stakes personal injury and professional liability cases, as well as other civil litigation matters. That foundation informs his practical, detail-oriented approach to case strategy.
Ben earned his law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law after completing undergraduate studies at Arcadia University, where he received the Maude A. Farran ’38 and William Benner Farran Award for academic achievement in pre-law studies. His undergraduate education also included international coursework focused on comparative legal systems.
He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court of New Jersey.
Clients often describe Ben as attentive, patient, and easy to reach. He takes pride in being a steady presence for people facing difficult and unfamiliar circumstances, serving not only as their attorney, but also as a trusted guide throughout the legal process.
