What is the Latest News on Pennsylvania Motorcycle Fatalities?

According to a recent report by the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), Pennsylvania reported a recent decrease in motorcycle deaths that the state attributes in part to increased education, publicity and training. Specifically, Pennsylvania reports 26 fewer deaths in the first 9 months of 2011 as compared to the first 9 months of 2010.

While fewer deaths is always good news, it is important to take a deeper look at the statistics offered by the GHSA. Specifically, it is important to know that:

• 171 people are reported to have lost their lives in Pennsylvania motorcycle accidents during the first three quarters of last year.
• Only three states, Texas, California and Florida reported more motorcycle deaths in the same time frame.

If you have lost a loved one in a PA motorcycle accident then it is important to contact a Pennsylvania motorcycle accident lawyer for more information about your rights and potential recovery. We extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of those who lost loved ones in 2011 Pennsylvania motorcycle crashes.
