The client had maintenance come in for a quarterly check and told them about the stove being wobbly. The maintenance man put a piece of plastic under the stove to level it. The material used did not work and while the client was cooking the frying pan slid off the stove and splashed hot oil all over the client’s legs and feet. The client suffered 2nd degree burns and was treated at a burn center.
