Should I Trust Insurance Adjusters?

Hi, I’m Jon Ostroff. Thanks for visiting ostrofflaw.com. You clicked on the question, I don’t need an attorney. I can trust the adjuster to help me. Their TV ads say they are my friend, right? Wrong.

I can answer that question for you. Geico doesn’t spend the amount of money they spend on TV, nor does Progressive or State Farm or Nationwide or Allstate or Liberty Mutual or any of those other great, friendly ads you see on TV because they wanna pay you money. The adjusters aren’t calling you because they wanna help you. They’re calling you because they wanna take advantage of you. They’re calling you because they wanna try to save their insurance company money. They’re not paid to pay you more. They’re paid to save their company more. They can’t afford those ad budgets or the biggest buildings in every city because they’re calling you if you’ve been injured by their insured ’cause they wanna pay you more. If the adjuster’s telling you that you should deal directly with them, there’s a reason. If they’re trying to prevent you from contacting an attorney that knows how to take care of you, you should contact an attorney that knows how to take care of you.

You know, there are some good adjusters out there. They’re rare, but they’re out there, and we get referred cases from adjusters, we represent adjusters who are injured in crashes and now need a lawyer. Not long ago, I was actually referred a client by an adjuster who really needed an attorney. She was seriously injured and was about to settle her case, and he said, “You know what? “You need to contact a lawyer, “and I’d recommend you call Ostroff.” Be care, beware. If an adjuster is at the scene of your crash in a Progressive vehicle, there’s a reason they have those vehicles, or the Geico vehicle, there’s a reason they’re all over the road, trying to get to you at the scene or at your house quickly. They’re trying to get to you before you get to me. Beware. Gimme a call. Thanks.
