Three Pennsylvania Interchanges Among Most Congested in Country

The Federal Highway Administration and the American Transportation Research Institute recently released a report that named the most congested traffic areas in the country.  Three Pennsylvania interchanges had the dubious distinction of being included on the top 100 most congested interchanges in the country.

Specifically, the:

  • I-76 at I-676 interchange in Philadelphia ranked as the 25th most congested;
  • I-76 at I-476 interchange in Philadelphia ranked as the 38th most congested; and
  • I-70 at I-79 West interchange in Pittsburgh ranked as the 88th most congested.

As a Pennsylvania truck accident lawyer, the results of this study concern me.  The traffic was measured using GPS devices to measure truck speeds at various times during the day.  Trucks traveling in traffic can cause significant crashes.

If you have been hurt at any of the above interchanges, or on any other Pennsylvania road, then please contact a Pennsylvania truck accident attorney today for more information.
