Pennsylvania Drivers: Take that Coffee to Go

Can a cup of coffee really help keep you awake and alert on the road? Do caffeinated drinks while driving help prevent traffic accidents?

A recent study found that long distance truck drivers who drink coffee (or other caffeinated beverages) are significantly less likely to be in accidents when compared to truck drivers who do not drink caffeinated drinks on the road. Specifically, the drivers who consumed caffeinated drinks while driving were 63% less likely to get in a crash. The study took into account overall sleep patterns, age, and other factors to attempt to isolate the significance of caffeine.

Of course, this does not mean that a driver should rely on caffeine alone to avoid an accident. Instead, it is important to be well rested, alert, and to know what to do if you are involved in a Pennsylvania crash. If you have been hurt in a Pennsylvania car accident then it is important to contact experienced personal injury attorneys in PA today for a free consultation.
